How to Confirm Your MEPCO Bill Payment was Received
After paying your MEPCO electricity bill through any channel, it is important to confirm that the payment has been recorded in MEPCO's system. Here are all the ways to verify your payment.
Method 1: Check on MEPCO Bill Next Month
The simplest confirmation is on your next MEPCO bill. In the 12-month history table on your bill, look for your payment month. If it shows a payment amount in the PAYMENT column, your payment was recorded successfully.
Method 2: Check Online via Bill Checker
- Go to mepcobil.com and enter your Reference Number or Consumer ID
- Open your bill on PITC website
- Scroll to the bill history table
- Look for the last paid month — if it shows your payment, it is confirmed
Method 3: Call MEPCO Helpline 118
- Call 118
- Provide your Consumer ID
- Ask the agent to confirm your last payment date and amount
- If payment is showing in their system, you are confirmed
Method 4: Visit MEPCO Sub-Division Office
- Bring your payment receipt (bank slip, app screenshot, or ATM receipt)
- Ask the billing counter to confirm payment receipt for your account
- They can immediately check and confirm in the MEPCO system
What to Do If MEPCO Shows Bill as Unpaid After Payment
- Wait 48 hours — online payments take 1–2 business days to process
- If still showing unpaid after 48 hours, call 118 with your payment receipt details
